Children with orthopedic and neurological challenges, need developmental therapy from a very young age. They may even need surgical interventions during developmental stages of life, to enhance their functional outcomes. Thus they need therapy intervention for a major part of their developmental years.
Children screened during camps are provided free therapy service at the foundation therapy center, whether they need surgical intervention or not. They are provided accommodation, if they cannot afford. Parents are trained to perform exercise and explained home exercise programmes, through pamplets. They are advised to come at regular intervals to assess for the progress in their child’s development. Children who have undergone surgery are also offered therapy services.
