Advocacy

“All Disadvantaged persons need advocacy, Privileged people get it without looking”

Advocacy for childhood disability is a response to the bitter reality that Children with disability are often marginalised, neglected and under privileged.

Therefore, we at NNMF, hope to be a trusted partner to children and their families, not only in times of illness, but throughout their life journey.

NNMF supports the ‘Social Model’ which looks to remove barriers that restrict life choices.

We hope to shift traditional models of thinking to a new understanding where society as a whole takes responsibility for enabling inclusion.

NNMF strongly advocates a barrier free and accessible environment for PWD’s.

  • Campaigning for social change by speaking to the media.
  • We plan to provide employment to persons with disability by giving them vocational training and empowering them.

NNMF had given a platform for SWARANAND, a musical programme performed by physically challenged residents of Anandwan, Warora, near Nagpur, a Leprosy rehabilitation center established by the great social activist and Magsaysay award winner, Baba Amte.

POSICON 2017 - About 800 doctors from various parts of the world were enthralled by this musical performance of individuals with challenges.
