President's Message

"Small deeds make a big differenceā€¯ has been the inspiration behind NNMF.

Nagai Narayanji Memorial Foundation

It has been my priviledge to be associated with NNMF from its day of inception and derive immense satisfaction from what NNMF has achieved so far. NNMF has not just served thousands of forgotten children with physical disabilities but has created widespread awareness about the challenges it poses to the community.

For a decade now, we have made progress in improving access and ensuring treatment to as many underpriviledged children as possible.

From reaching out to about 15000 children to operating about 3000 chidren till date, we are progressing on our way to visualize the change the NNMF team had imagined.

Just the fact that we have so many children in India with disabilities, it took only a few years of research and practice to realize that we can not make a difference without a holistic approach of awareness, sensitizing, involving the parents, family and society.

We undertook a few pilot projects / camps across multiple regions to work out systems for this and its been a real eye opener. We believe enough research is needed to see what the real problems are and define goals effectively.

NNMF has to move into a more sophisticated form of philanthropy which is designed to make a difference rather than just creating edifices.
