A large number of children with disabilities are seen during screening camps. Out of these, children who can be benefitted by corrective surgical procedures are selected for the surgical camp to be conducted at the children orthopedic care institute, Nagpur which performs surgeries free of cost. The cost of surgery, medicines, accommodation to children and their relatives along with food is borne by the foundation. Children are kept under observation in the hospital following surgery and are discharged after proper home care being advised to parents and relatives.
About 3464 children with various types of disabilities have been operated so far by the medical team of NNMF.
