CP refers to a group of neurological disorder that appears in infancy or early childhood and affects the body movements and muscle coordination.

CP is caused by damage to or abnormalities inside the developing brain that disrupts the brain ability to control movements and maintains posture and balance.

The symptoms of CP differ in type and severity from one person to the next and may wen change over time, such as : ataxia, spastic muscle, tremor.

Most children with CP re diagnosed during the 1st two year of life. Neuroimaging techniques can defect abnormalities like cranial ultrasound, MRI.

Physical therapy, usually in the 1st few year of years is a cornerstone of CP treatment. Exercises sets such as stretching, strength training, resistive exercises and few activities to improve balance and motor skills orthotic devices may be used to improve mobility.

Surgery is indicated in case of severe contractures in Hamstrings, TA Adductors, and Biceps Finger Flexors group of muscles. Surgery is always followed by extensive muscle strengthening physiotherapy protocols and strict use of splintage Occupational therapy, recreational therapy, speech & language therapy are also helpful treatment protocol.
